The Gardener's Rain, The Only Automatic Irrigation Specialist In Your Area

We are a small but engaged family business established in 2005 under a different name, Garden Sector Ltd, for doing garden-related jobs and tree surgery.

The Short Story

During the completion of some landscaping, we picked up our first automatic garden irrigation system installation skills, then finally decided to turn towards watering systems and serve in this special industry with the same enthusiasm. This has been expressed in our new name: The Gardener's Rain.

And now, we are heading to full garden automation, including smart irrigation systems and robotic lawn mowers in Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire (plus surrounding counties).

Well-equipped service vans

When we are on our job, i.e. irrigation system installation, our service vans are loaded with all modern types of equipment and tools that are needed along with the alternative solutions as a backup (just in case). This saves us time and money, too.

If something is not in stock, then a call-out fee is not charged at the next visit.

Here arises a question: How do we keep our prices low? Hence, we are always ready to adapt methods and ideas which help us do so.

Help for DIY-ers

Against other companies we are happy to share our experience with you to help in fault finding and troubleshooting. We don’t think you cannot repair a leak or reprogram an irrigation controller or water timer.

We don’t want to charge you due to an accidentaly switched off socket or even a small cut on a dripline.

You can find troubleshooting techniques, how-to posts in our knowledge base and some repair package to buy as well, to fix simple problems.

Of course we are always happy to help on site. Just book a service appointment.

E-Documents

Since 2021 we only supply jobsheets, quotes and invoices in paperfree format to save the environment and save money for our customers.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

We try to reduce plastic waste; hence, we selected the wholesalers with the same attitude.

Our parts are delivered mostly in cardboard boxes and on pallets. We shred the boxes and put them in compost or use them directly to cover bed surfaces against weeds. When we send parts to our customers, we reuse the cardboard boxes to do so.

Pallets are returned to the wholesalers for reuse. The minimal amount of plastic with the packages is always put in selective bins.

Garden irrigation systems include lots of plastic materials. During the installations and service, we try to use as few extra parts and pipes as possible and reuse even the shortest piece of pipe at the same or another irrigation job.

Removed old irrigation parts, especially those with electrical components (like irrigation controllers, etc.), are sent to the recycling centres for reuse.
